Catfield Primary School is a small but thriving village school in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. We gained Primary status in September 2006 following a complete restructuring and building extension. We now have modern facilities throughout which enables us to deliver a 21st century curriculum.
|
 |
We are a happy, friendly school with a close family ethos. We pride ourselves in encouraging children's creativity and thinking skills.

We have worked hard on developing our Eco-status and currently hold the Eco-Schools Silver Award. We have: established a pond, planted fruit trees and a range of trees to encourage birds and minibeasts, planted a willow tunnel and a willow story telling bower, established a vegetable garden, composted all our vegetable waste ....... and much more! Learning about the natural world and how we can protect it is key to much of the work done at our school.

Wroxham Lions have bought us a greenhouse so we can grow vegetables all year round! Thank you Lions!

SCHOOL COUNCIL Children meet each week and make decisions about the development of the school. For example they decided on the colour of the school uniform, the choice of playground equipment, fundraising events, school rules and much more. Children have met with the County Councillor and petitioned for the change of speed limit outside the school. Through school council activities, children are learning to become citizens of the future.

ANTI-BULLYING COMMITMENT At Catfield, we are committed to stamping out bullying of any kind. Each year we have anti-bullying week during which we aim to raise awareness of all forms of bullying. Children are taught strategies for what to do to stop bullying wherever and whenever it should occur in their lives. The following were written by children during anti-bullying awareness weeks.
